Discovering human nature
Since 1961, I have led a research effort to discover human nature, as expressed by individuals. This effort was unique because conventional wisdom, for the last century, declared such research data couldn’t be generalized and comprise a science. To the contrary, our qualitative analysis, as distinguished from psycho-metrics, yielded discoveries about the nature of the person which, when understood, will shape how we educate, work, and worship.
Discovering a science of the person
Among these discoveries was a science or psychology of the person. It enabled us to access heart, mind and soul and identify a behavior pattern which had apparently been innately formed in each person. This exquisitely designed pattern revealed a common structure, gifted content and behavioral dynamics, yet each pattern was unique in its detail.
Discovering principles which govern our behavior
Sixteen principles governing the expression of the behavior pattern were discovered. These principles require parents, teachers, employers, and clergy to recognize and respond to the uniqueness in each person.
Discovering the power to explain and predict performance
Our research thus provided the discoveries to describe and explain each person and predict their work performance and social behavior although their character, morals and habituations were beyond our reach.
Discovering the key to a good life
A poignant discovery is that few people are aware of the fact that the only way to experience a productive and meaningful career is to live and work in accordance with their design.
Discovering we are not the product of evolution
Complicating our breakthrough discoveries is the arresting question about their source. Where do they come from? My answer continues to be God. Examining evolution as the only example people would likely suggest, is that natural selection does not work with patterns (Dawkins) and will not abide any competition; like the fact that each person is constantly seeking to use their pattern.
Discovering all God’s children are included
Of the thousands we worked with, every person had been given an exquisitely designed life plan, enabling and governing how they would try to lead their life. There was no apparent requirement for any kind and level of faith in God. Such a new theology seems to break the ground rules we have been taught, but not the love of God for all His children. Obviously, He has much to teach us about our new lives.
